Kensington is in Carlsbad, just east of Palomar Airport. You would think the planes going overhead was loud, but I hardly heard any traffic when I was there. Kensington is within walking distance of grocery stores like Statebrothers, Trader Joe's, and Sprouts. It's also near popular restaurants like Board & Brew, Panini Grill, WR Kitchen & Bar, Mendocino Farms, and Richard Walker's Pancake House. Kensington is built by Shea Homes, a builder with one of the best reputations in the business for producing unique and attractive homes. Kensington is no exception. When it comes to townhomes, almost everything at Kensington is unique and well planned. Upon walking to the model homes, you'll pass by one of the putting greens available to the residents. The front doors have a single narrow glass window and a smart deadbolt. The floorplans are open, with minimal walls dividing rooms. My favorite floorplan is plan 2. The living room has a ceiling open to the third floor, giving it a less closed-in feeling that most townhomes provide. On the flip side, the patio size is small, especially with the HVAC unit. Also, solar is not included, which I feel should always be included when purchasing a new home, especially in this price range.
