Laurel Creek is one of the weirdest planned communities I've visited, especially considering how small it is with only sixty-five homes encompassing it. The first prominent feature that stands out is the large pedestrian bridge that goes over the creek that divides the community. On the positive side, I thought the bridge was beautiful and added character; it also gives excellent views of the lush creek filled with brush and trees. The recreation center was odd; it's a small gated area with a spa and a small community center where you'd be lucky to fit four people comfortably. Obviously, this increases the HOA fee, which I would have rather not had these amenities in trade for a lower cost. The homes also seem to be close together with minimal yards.
